The 2009 Group Leisure & Travel Trade Show (GLTT) has closed its doors for another year as visitors left the NEC happy, with lots of fresh ideas in tow and a list of useful contacts made.
Visitors to Hall 11 of the NEC found all types of exhibitors, including tour operators, hoteliers, tourist boards, attractions, theatre agencies and much more.
Already, many exhibitors have secured their stand at the 2010 show, which takes place on Wednesday 22nd and Thursday 23rd September in Hall 11 of the NEC, Birmingham. This follows a trend of fast re-bookings over recent years and following a strong 2009 presentation this is set to continue.

Peter Squires from Newmarket Travel Service commented: “Within ten minutes of the doors opening we’ve been swamped and given that we’ve spent a bit of money investing in this stand - because obviously this is an important show for us - we’re just absolutely delighted with it. Really good quality people and the stand has been buzzing. There are some people we’ve met before, so this gave us a chance to renew their acquaintance and there are new people I’ve not met before so it’s a pretty good result.”
Ruth Mort, national sales manager of Flightbound, enthused: “We’ve had two great days, it’s been a lot busier than last year and the reaction has been so positive and I’m just blown away by some of the people that we’ve met!”
Jason Harvey, group sales manager of Jet2.com also commented: “It’s been fantastic, the two days – especially day one - have been absolutely jam-packed, we’ve had a great response and I’ve got some good leads to catch up with next week.”
Sales manager, Sharon Yandell was delighted with such a positive reaction from exhibitors: “To confirm so many 2010 exhibitors before we even close GLTT ’09 is amazing and we’re all thrilled with the general reaction to yet another successful two days here at the NEC. If anyone’s interested in exhibiting at next year’s show, now’s the time to get the position they want, so call me on 01908-613323 or e-mail sharon.y@yandellmedia.com.”
